Excellent Hotel

Stayed for six days as part of a coach holiday. The standards were very high throughout. Rooms clean, very comfortable and well serviced. Food was excellent throughout our stay with wide choice of menu and served on hot plates,the staff in the dining room were pleasant and helpful, they were led by a lady who headed a very efficient team, she worked extremely hard and her staff followed her example. As previous reviewer said tables were served in rotation so everyone had turn at being served first and being served last. We would definitley use this hotel again and have recommended it to our family and friends.

Just a weekend away but we found the hotel very good value. Rooms were clean and well equipped, staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. Highly recommended.

Great hotel in splendid position

I went to the hotel with a coach party and it was excellent. The staff were brilliant and also the food could not be better. They served tables in different orders each evening so you were served first some nights, last some nights but this was extremely fair and could not be faulted. I would certainly stay there again and recommmend the hotel to others. Ideally located in Sidmouth.

Great location, food and hospitality

Hotel ideally placed on the sea front and close to town. Food is of a very high standard as are the rooms. Don't expect swimming pools, gym's etc just a good quality family run hotel.

Although the hotel was in an excellent position, clean and well furnished, the time I spent there was disappointing. The coach party I was with were kept waiting as long as 30 to 40 minutes between courses. When I commented/complained to the manager about this, the comment I recieved was, "So...You're on holiday!!" I took this to infer I had nothing else to do except sit in the dining room for two and half to three hours every night. There was no possibility of arranging anything else for the evening i.e. Theatre, Cinema etc. I did notice if you were not with a coach party, this problem didn't arise!
