My partner and I stayed at the hotel on new years eve 2007 after attending the new year party, we had a very nice room, and a good nights sleep. Breakfast the next morning was delicious, the service was great, we will certainly be doing it again.

We were booked into a twin room, but were given the key for a family room with a no smoking policy. We asked to be moved, but were informed, that due to a private function this was not possible, as the hotel was fully booked. We were not able to dine in the restaurant either as it was booked out due to the above. After a very long drive from London, my colleague and I were exhausted, and after retiring to our room to rest due to an early start in the morning, The band and disco directly downstairs was at an unacceptable level, the room was too warm and we could not adjust the heating, the window could not be opened to combat this as the noise from downstairs was then amplified. Overall it was a very unpleasant experience.
