Every comfort
We have now stayed on 3 occasions.I cannot think of anything I wanted which was not provided - tea and coffee facilities, bottled water, hairdryer, toiletries, residents lounge to sit in comfort when it rains, great breakfasts and well decorated rooms.

Best hotel in scarborough!
Once again we had a great stay at this great hotel. Rooms are large, with comfortable beds, flat screen tv,hospitality trays and lovely clean soft towels. The food is second to none with Mals great breakfasts and also his home cooked evening meals. Katherine and Mal make you feel at home and nothing is too much trouble for them. Without a doubt they deserve the 4 star rating that they have just received. Well done and hope to see you again soon.

Comfortable hotels that is near to all main attractions
We experienced an enjoyable stay at the Raincliffe, so much so we decided to book an extra night! The room was clean and comfortable with the breakfasts large and filling. Although the weather was typicaly British (i.e. torrential rain!) the hotel is within easy walking distance of the town and other attractions. We would definitely recommend the Raincliffe to our friends and family as Mel and Katherine are super hosts.

A lovely stay
We stayed at the Raincliffe hotel in april this year , kathrine and mal are the most friendly and helpful hosts you could wish to meet. The rooms were second to none in cleanliness and comfort, and the breakfast as well as being delicious will fill you up for most of the day ,we would like to thank them for our stay and hope to visit them again soon,as the hotel is in a lovely location with a nice flat 5 min stroll to the beach and sea front. It's lovely to find a couple who are really passionate about what they do and care about their guests and their property .

Heartily recommended
This is a newly refurbished, but happily still feature-filled Victorian hotel, decorated to suit its era, but with all mod cons in the bright bedrooms. Although it does not have a lift, and there are some steep steps up to the path to the door, it does have a ground floor bedroom for the less able. They do not take small children, but older ones are welcome.
The hotel is set in a small pretty garden with outside seating, close to the South beach and the Valley Road gardens, and a short walk to the town centre. On street parking is by zone disc supplied on arrival, and we always found a nearby place, even at weekends.
We received a warm welcome from Katherine, and were shown to our well presented and appointed room, with its very comfortable king-size bed and sparkling clean shower-room. Hot water was constant, and all of the rooms are central heated, and have easily opened windows. On the ground level is a large and comfortable sitting, room with a bar, where guests are free to wat...Read more
