What a unexpected surprise

I couldn't fault the place - friendly, spotlessly clean, comfortable - everything you would want.. and more. I was in Scarborough on Business and although the company had offered to book me into a large hotel I always prefer to find my own place. There are millions of places to choose from so how lucky was I to find the Raincliffe. I will definitely go back...soon.

found this hotel by luck even though it is easy to find and what a lucky find it was , everything was excellent , as for the big breakfast, if you want it , keeps you going until early evening, friendly clean and helpful ,10 out of 10

Fantastic Hotel

This is the second time myself and my girlfriend have stayed at the Raincliffe this year. It is a lovely hotel, the rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable, especially the beds ive never slept so well in my life. Katherine and Mal are one of the nicest couples we have ever met. They are very dedicated in what they do and cannot do enough for you. The food is amazing and may i add the portion sizes are huge! We will definately be returning very soon, Scarborough is our favourite seaside town and staying at the Raincliffe makes it even more pleasurable.

Good location , immaculately clean ,comfortable beds ,good quality fixtures and fittings - everything worked - the owners clearly are passionate about their work and it shows.

For every year we go back we enjoy it again and again. The hotel is updated every year the food is brill and the sevice is great. Katherine and mal are great too we will definately be going back again.

Excellent Hotel!

A friend and I have just returned from a 4day break on a first visit to Scarborough. As an experienced 'shortbreak' UK traveller, I feel qualified in saying, the Raincliffe exceeded fullstop! The hotel is in a quiet area of town, in a leafy, picturesque avenue a short walk from the sea. The hotel interior is bright and tastefully furnished. Our bedroom was lovely, both clean and comfortable with a spotless ensuite. We were served a fantastic breakfast in the elegant and spacious dining room and we felt we could not fault anything. If I return to Scarborough, I will definitely try for the Raincliffe first and hope there is availability!

Our stay at the Raincliffe Hotel was fantastic,Kathrine and Mal are lovely people and we were made to feel very much at home.The room was excellent very clean and the bed was so comfy.The food was excllent but next time i go though i will be having child portions.What a great stay my husband and i had we will be returning.

THIS IS OUR UMPTEEN VISIT TO THE RAINCLIFFE EVERYTIME WE VISIT IT GETS BETTER MAL AND KATHERINE OH AND OF COURSE CHRISTINE ARE SUPER FANTASTIC HOSTS WE SAY YOU CANNOT IMPROVE ON PERFECTION AND WE CERTAINLY PICKED THE PERFECT HOTEL WE INTEND TO GO BACK SEVERAL TIMES THIS YEAR AND WE KNOW IT WILL BE PERFECT. ROOMS FIRST CLASS AND VERY VERY CLEAN AND HOMELY. FOOD WELL MALS BREAKFAST IS LEGENDARY RONNIE CAN NOW FINISH IT ME WELL I AM GETTING BETTER. CLEANLINESS IS A STAR. HANDY FOR TOWN AND FOR THE LEGENDARY SEAFRONT. YOU ARE TRULY A GREAT AND YOUR HOTEL IS FIRST CLASS MANY THANKS FOR ANOTHER GREAT STAY LOTS LOVE LYNNE AND RONNIEXX

Great service and excellent hosts

An excellent weekend was had by our Party of 4, this was made more enjoyable by Katherine who looked after us and Mal who entertained us with his variety of jokes and stories. The rooms are furnished to a high standard and the cleanliness is second to none. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a relaxed break away in a great location. I will be returning in October to taste the superb home cooking especially the Steak Pie.

A perfect place to stay!

We have just returned from a weekend at the Raincliffe Hotel in Scarborough – and were made so welcome from the moment we arrived until the time we left. We enjoyed are stay so much that we plan to go back in October. The hospitality of Mal and Kathryn is second to none! They made you feel right at home and nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms are exceptional – and very clean. And the breakfasts – well! You won’t need to eat anything after breakfast until tea time. But make sure you don’t leave anything!! Its location is perfect, it’s in a very quiet residential area that is a short walk to both the town centre and sea front. We would recommend that anyone looking for accommodation for Scarborough or the surrounding area take a close look at the Raincliffe Hotel, you would not be disappointed a definite 10 out of 10.
