Norbreck Hotel Scarborough

as our first time on a shearings hotel, we were pleasently surprised. the hotel had superb views of the sea.our room 301 had lovely front views of the sea, the room was lovely and warm, and clean with towels changed daily if requested. the food was satisfactory with 3 to 4 different choices. the entertainment was reasonable, but did tend to finish about 10:30. in our holiday package we had all inclusive drinks, which was between 7:30 to 10:30, and you were only allowed to get another drink when you took your empty glass up to the bar. but all in all it was a very quiet break as a majority of the people were older.

A group of 10 stayed at the Norbreck Scarborough for five days in February 2009. We found the food, rooms, staff and entertainment excellent. Good value for money.

Meals - they must have a different chef for breakfast which was almost inedible; and for evening meals. They were v.g. staff v. helpful and pleasant. Room reasonable, except windows and shower could be cleaner. Rm 320

The Norbreck Hotal in Scarborough is a Shearings hotel. The staff, food, entertainment and location is very good. but the bedroom and bathroom (room 220) was very cramped and cold. The bathroom had a shower cubicle and a toilet and there was not room to get dry after a shower. The bedroom had a wash basin in it and the room was very small. The windows in both the bedroom and the bathroom were old and draughty in fact the rain was coming in I stuffed toilet paper down the gaps and rolled a towel up but that didn't make much different. come on shearings its time you up dated your hotels.
