My husband and two friends have just had one of the best weekends away we have had for a long time. The accomodation was spotless and very comfortable, the food was exquisite beautifully presented and the taste was a mouthwatering experience. The staff could not do enough for you continually checking everything was ok. The surrounding area was calm and tranquil a pleasure to walk around the grounds and sit by the lake. And to top it all off a swimming pool to work of the calories from the delicious food. Definately a place to return to and tell everyone about. Loved every minute thankyou to everyone who made our stay so enjoyable.

Worst Hotel I have been to

Great Location, lake in front of hotel, this is where things got worse. Dimly lit at 1pm, uninviting bar area, showed 4 rooms each one was worse than the first. Moldy bathrooms, broken bathroom fitments, paper hanging off, smelled of damp, broken windows, windows would not shut. Last room in main hotel building last resort, only stayed the one night out of the three booked. Could not open window as over kitchen vents so smelly and hot. Evening meal not much choice stayed safe with a roast dinner. Waiting on staff, dress could have been smarter and cleaner, smile might have helped. Breakfast same, waitress threw breakfast in front of an elderly lady before she had finished her cereals. Reminded me of Faulty Towers. They could not understand why we would not stay the 3 nights. Swimming pool uninviting. Such a shame as hotel is in a lovely setting and needs a lot of money spending on it to bring it up to scratch and be good enough to stay in.
