We were a group of 41 people from a Fuchsia Society in chelmsford, we have a holiday every year in the month of May. Delmont Hotel in Scarborough made us very welcome,all the bedrooms were clean and warm,some were small. The food was wonderful,and plenty of choice, the meat just melted in your mouth, and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Some of us didn't enjoy all the entainment in the evening but it was ok. I would recomend this hotel to anyone

What a dissapointment

Myself and my husband went booked to stay at the Delmont as a treat for our Golden Wedding Anniversary - what a mistake! When we first walked in to the hotel there was a very unpleasant smell, when we went to dine there was only one choice of food (steak pie which we could not eat as the meat was so tough and had a very strong smell). I explained that we were not happy and asked if we could have our money back (we had not even been to our room) - i paid £40 deposit and then on arrival just over £130.00 for a 2 night stay, the reply i got was "you can have nothing back" - we left the hotel at that point as could not bear the thought of spending one night there never mind two! We will certainly not be ever going back to it and would advise others to do the same

Just the place for a pleasant stay.

Enjoyable easy going hotel. Good food ,good restaurant staff. Service at table excellent. Roof top view of roof-tops. Room pleasantly warm but impossible to read with such low lighting. Very good position on sea front.

Food good but trip was spoiled by the hotel not putting the heating on until 8.30 on 2 of the 4 nights we were freezing when we complained we were told it was on a timer and they couldn’t do anything but the other nights it came on at 5.30 after we complained also the light in the room is nearly non existent about a 60 watt bulb to light a large room this was a shame as the room and view were great.
