Breakfast was a joke - weak diluted Orange Juice drink, DIY Toast and... well thats it.
Worst of all, we had to cut short our holiday as our baby fell ill - the management couldnt care less and refused any refund on the remaining time booked... instead offering credit note.. as if we'd ever go back!! Please stay elsewhere.. Scarborough is lovely, this place is a dump & not family friendly at all despite advertising themselves as such!

Top Local Tips for Scarborough
Scarborough is still a wonderful seaside hoilday If you are driving your own or hire car whilst in Scarborough, do take note of parking restrictions and for goodness sake get a parking disc straight away from any shop, post office or business. We didn't understand the concept of using these discs for free short term parking on the street until our holiday was about over. Although we moved our car around to where we needed to go at times we would park up in a two/three hour area and take a bus ride or walk to where we wanted to go. One thing we did get as soon as we arrived was a map book of Scarborough, essential making going from A to B so much more easier and quicker. We found the Grand hotel done a three course noon dinner very reasonable, also some of the sea front fish and chip cafe served tasty, cheap meals. We enjoyed walking and Scarborough is just the ticket for that, everything in easy walking distance, plenty of interesting parks adjoining the beach, and various shopping areas. Plan where you want to go each day.
just do it Get in with the locals, they will know where all the offers are
There are good hotels in Scarborough-this isn't one! Dont book this place until you have checked others as we have stayed in some lovely hotels there!! But if you fancy a cross between theBates motel and Fawlty Towers without the laughs then this is the place for you. DON.T use this as a yardstick for all Scarborough hotels.
