Top Local Tips for Ryde
MAKE SURE YOU BOOK RESTAURANTS ON THE WEEKEND We tried to go out for dinner on Saturday night in Ryde but all the restaurants were fully booked. I would advise booking as soon as you arrive on the island to avoid dissapointment. Well worth the wait, especially Michaelangelos (Italian restaurant)
Ryde Ryde is small. If you don't have transport there is very little to do if you don't want to go bowling/ice skating at the pleasure beach or walk on the sand. A lot of the shops are run down and I could not find anything nice to buy my wife, who is not a fussy woman when it comes to gifts.

Sewega flooded the "beer garden" so bar was closed. all staff left, Manager was rude and threatening and i called the police.
There was a lovely young lad working the bar who was left to pick up the pieces for a rude unprofessional manager/owner.
I checked out after the police couldnt gain access as the owner/manager had disappeared. Fire hazard - being locked in a hotel with no staff! Avoid this place like the plague!!! I wish i had read the reviews instead of rely on the very deceiving website
