Not as good as we hoped

We went to a wedding here last year, and although the grounds are relatively attractive, the outside wedding venue was ridiculous as there was no seating, the rooms were overpriced for what they were, and we didn't particularly rate the food either. Disappointing.

Travelling Avoid the Blackpool Road route to Motorway Junction 31 in the late afternoon.
Great area for dining out If you want good food in this are there are 2 Heathcotes reastaurants Longridge and Preston town centre. The Inn at Whitewell is a great hotel with history and wonderful views. There are some really beautiful towns and villages in the area with terrific little country pubs such as the Derby Arms.
