A much maligned hotel! My group thought that rooms were acceptable (if a little dully decorated), evening meal service was exceptional and food of good quality, buffet style breakfast was superb and always kept freshly replenished and ALL the staff were friendly and helpful. A budget hotel that gives value for money.

Top Local Tips for Penrith
Penrith is very nice and save money by stating in the town. We had to get a taxi into Penrith as there is nothing in Clifton if you would like a meal out. It cost £12 return which is reasonable but the taxi driver said we should have put the £12.00 to better use and stayed in a B&B in Penrith town as they are lovely. She wasn't a big fan of the Clifton Hill. I'd recommend just that, stay in a B&B/ Guesthouse in Penrith town.
