| Oh dear... |
| No parking space to speak of - metered parking (2 hour maximum until 10 pm on a Saturday) in the street. This was not explained as we booked. The Staff had an average age of 12 and knew nothing about anything. Through the hotel, we had booked a taxi in advance to take us to the event we were attending. On arrival we checked it was booked. Eventually we were assured it was. It never arrived, even after we enquired after it. We ordered a newspaper for the morning (£1.50 extra), it didn't arrive either, but when we reporting this when checking out we were told it was hanging on our door. It wasn't. The room was tiny with a tiny bath with taps that were meant to have a shower head attached, but none was. It was a gloomy double with a bed which just about sneaked into the double category. The generosity of spirit ran to one tiny bottle of bubble bath between us. For all these wonderful privileges we paid just £155 a night. Others have commented on the cuisine. We wouldn't know; breakfast was not included, and frankly we didn't want to hand over one more penny to these incompetent clowns. |
