Top Local Tips for Oxford

Use the Bus to get to Oxford We used the park-and-rides to take a bus into Oxford. Do youself a favor and do the same. It's cheap-- two pounds or something. You park for free, then catch a 20 minute bus ride in to the city center. There are multiple stops and pick ups. Driving in Oxford and parking are really hectic and stressful. It's a walking city anyway. So do yourself a favor... don't drive.

Bus 280 a 10 minute ride to historical Oxford Leave all the stress and fuss behind. Relax and sleep as long as you please and walk a few hundred meters from Days Inn at the Welcome Break Service area and take bus 280 return for GBP 4 for adults to experience the historical Oxford with all it's universities and the English lingo. Breakfast at Brown's cafe in the Covered Market was excellent. Full English breakfast cost GBP 4.45 plus GBP 1.50 for a huge cup of fantastic hot coco.
