Very friendly and attentive staff, from booking through to checkout they go beyond what you might expect to ensure that you have a great stay.
Good location, close to everything.
Don't be put off by the rather tired external appearance the welcome inside is sparkling.
Two of us stayed for one night and the room was comfortable and the breakfast was good. You should have a great time if you stay at this hotel.

Friendliest Hotel in Morecambe
from keithrennie39
I stayed at the Eidsforth a year ago and the friendliness of the staff and owners made for an easy decision in deciding where to stay on my return to Morcambe. It is situated right on the sea front and within easy walking distance to nearby pubs and clubs. It was fairly quiet on the Friday night that I was there, but this allowed for an opportunity to have a drink, and game of pool with Andrew, the owner, and the lovely Helen, in a very relaxed atmosphere. Although I didn't have an evening meal, I had an excellent breakfast, cooked by Andrew, who during the course of my stay, proved to be a first class host and entertaining and engaging company.
Would I go again? Yes

Eidsforth Hotel

Stayed Saturday 2nd May 2009
It's getting virtually impossible to find a hotel that will take a booking for one night. My daughter found this delightful hotel for us while going through the internet sites.
It had sea views, free parking, wonderful hosts and very attentive staff. The hotel itself was very clean (even though they are in the process of updating) The rooms were spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. Breakfast was exceptional. Although they did not serve dinner, the owner (Andrew) recommended a restaurant (Pebbles) which served tremendous food.
We hadn't been to Morecambe for a long, long time and it was nice to see the local authority are driving the regeneration forward.
If you want weeks and weeks of hassle trying to get a room, try the Lakes, If you want a relaxing, comfortable break stay at the Eidsforth Hotel, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

First found it by chance: on the seafront with brilliant views, I thought it'd be too expensive. I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is very family friendly, the facilities are good, the food excellent & the staff couldn't be nicer! They can make plenty of recommendations for things to do, which was helpful. This was our third visit, & we'll definitely be going again.

We went to Morecambe originally for the day ,Decided to stay overnight and enquired at the EIDSFORTH HOTEL if we could stay for one night . We recieved a welcome similar to visiting relatives . We were treated like family from the start by all the friendly staff and manager ( Andrew) and enjoyed our first overnight stay and breakfast so much that we decided to stay a further night . We shall certainly stay at this friendly hotel again. the next time we visit Morecambe
Thank you all

FRIENDLY WELCOMING ATMOSPHERE
from TeessideTriumph
I stayed at the Eidsforth recently whilst working in the area.
I loved the friendly atmosphere and easy going manner that seemed to be around the place.
i would personally go back if I had too,and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Thanks again, Geoff.

We were on our way from Devon to Scotland and were unable to get accomdation on the Motor-way so came into Morcambe. Found the Eidsforth.
Found the hotel to be clean, the bedroom comfortable, the service exceptional and the breakfast excellent. We were well entertained in the evening by a very friendly Mine Host.
The only down side was that the hotel was a bit drab and could do with a make over

A Great place to stay

I read some reviews on this hotel after i had booked to go and did feel a little worried. i have had some scary times in hotels at the seaside and thought that this one was to be a mistake!
I have to say that i was completely wrong!!! This is a fantastic place - you feel at home straight away because there is no reception at the front of the hotel - it is at the B A R!!! great - no stuffy people trying to sell a seaside stay as the ritz either - very warm and friendly staff on arrival which was a great start - the rooms are a bit basic but there is tea/ coffee and tv with every room having en-suite and they are very Clean!!
Nothing betterthan crisp tight sheets to slide into after a good night out - well we stayed in cause the owner even put entetainment on for us - that guy can really sing - he should have been on stars in their eyes - his name was Andrew - we will be going back again too!! if yo want to have a good time overlooking Morecambe Bay go there - we did and will from now on!!

An enjoyable stay.

The hotel is in need of a bit of a make-over; it feels a little drab and bare. (This wasn't helped by the fact that it rained all weekend.) The staff were wonderful, always greeting us with a smile, offering knowledge on the area, and being generally interested in how we were enjoying our stay. The manager was super-friendly and took us for a drive round Morecambe on a mini tour of Eric Morecambe's haunts. Breakfast was included in the price - it was a generous meal and the chef was willing to accommodate when I asked for something that wasn't on the menu. However, we did feel it was over-priced.
Top Local Tips for Morecambe
wot a great place to stay in the north west the hotel is right on the bay and you can have a great time in Morecambe's bars and clubs - it is good for a giggle or a break - I had not been to Morecambe before but will go again - there's lots to do there. my tip would be to get there on a Friday and stay till monday. The breakfast is great and you can leave your car in hte car park when you get there and leave it there - it is not needed again cause everything you want is on your doorstep
