Very up market accommodation at very reasonable rates. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the rooms have great views over looking the golf course. Local competition must find it a very hard act to follow. Excellent food and reasonably priced bar. Will definitely be back!

I felt ill having stayed in this flea pit of a motel, the room stank, the staff looked half asleep. I felt like a intruder whilst trying to get a drink from the motel bar!!! The young girl was to busy on facebook to want to serve me. I orderd a ham sandwhich which was moldy and it made me sick. I coundn't finish it. I asked for my money back, but the manager was very rude about the whole thing. I wouldn't stay here if it was the last place on earth.

We stayed at Midgley Lodge Motel the week before Christmas, the rooms are spacious with stunning views a cross the golf course. Excellent value for money and the best accommodation in the area.
We will certainly go back again.

This is the best travel lodge I've ever stayed in, the rooms are on par, or if not better than top hotels. The rooms are so inviting and the bathrooms so clean and spacious, and the views from the upstairs rooms are breath taking. This is a fantastic hotel at a very reasonable rate, I will definitely be returning when working nearby.

Stayed here with my partner and young son for 4 days while my partner worked nearby. My son and I spent a great deal of time at the room which was spacious immaculately clean and really lovely. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the cleaning maid was an absolute star, my son didn't want to leave as he liked her so much!! Will definitely stay here again and absolutely loved the place, beautiful views, clean warm rooms and a beautiful friendly pub with excellent food!

I can only echo what the other reviewers have said. This is a very popular extra-marital meeting place. Ironic as we were staying so that we could attend a friend's wedding. My husband played golf on one of the days and I stayed in our room. There were quite a few people arriving during the day in separate cars and then making a lot of noise in the rooms - which have communal entrance foyers with single-door entry to the bedrooms. This made us quite uncomfortable and embarrassed.

One member of staff was also quite surly, she cooked us a rather sub-standard (obviously microwaved) dinner on our first evening. After that, we ate in the pub next door.

Price-wise it's ok, cheap and cheerful I would say is the best description. The location is good, which is what it earned the single point for! I won't be returning.

As a previous person put it, this place is a serious regular haunt for extra marital fun. It was obvious what was happening due to the separate car situation, racket from rooms etc. We stayed a week and happened to stay in our room one day due to my wife being ill. It was rather unpleasant as one couple left, another set arrived. The poor cleaning staff must have been run off their feet, cleaning these dirty people's rooms.
