Great Location!
from Morley_Tripper
Stayed here for the night before we flew to puerto vallarta. Check staff were very friendly and welcoming. Theres a polish girl who works on reception and in the bar whos really friendly. Food in the restaurant was nice, and drinks good. Prices are usual inflated prices but we were on holiday and intent on starting it well! The rooms are excellent, faultlessly clean and bed comfortable. The realy plus for this hotel is its location, its just behind the frieght terminal near terminal 2. Only 5 minute drive to the aiport and they provide a transfer service too. Will definetly use this hotel again, as it was great value!
No frills - great value
from mrsisaak
Everything you need (except soap and shampoo), nothing you don't need. Clean, quiet and my non-smoking room meant a non-smoking room, although I could smell smoke from other rooms. Great value. Shuttle to, but not from, the airport.
Another Good Stay
from MalcolmC
Second stay here for an early morning flight from Manchester Airport. And for the second time an excellent night. We even didn't have to pay the £5 car park charge as we were given a complimentary exit ticket. Staff very friendly and helpful. All in excellent for £26 in total and so near the airport.
What a Surprise
from Waringfield
We had already booked to stay 1 night at this hotel, when just before we went the BBC Watchdog programme said how bad Travelodge hotels were. We decided to go ahead with our booking as we were flying back from Poland and wouldn't be travelling on to Ireland until the next morning. What a surprise we got when we arrived, the hotel is new, clean and bright, the staff are most helpful and welcoming and the breakfast is something else. We haven't had such a good breakfast in a long long time. The room had everything you would need for a one night stay. And all this for £26 plus breakfast.
Superb Value
from WickedTime
We paid £26 for the room and it's probably the best value of any room of any UK hotel we've stayed in. The reception desk staff were ultra-efficient and the room was immacluate, a reasonable size and pretty quiet
Based on other reviews we walked to the Romper pub about 10 minutes away and had a lovely meal and friendly service. We didn't try the bar or restaurant at the hotel but it looked very clean and comfortable
Would highly recommend, especially if you can pre-book on the Travelodge website for a bargain price

Cheap and cheerful

Stayed here for a night in October.
Very cheap price and served its purpose well! Room was basic but was all that you needed. Never ate there but menu was varied and very cheap! Bar was reasonably price, about £2.50 a pint!
Close to the airport and staff had knowledge of the local area.
Excellent hotel if just staying to catch a flight.

Its a travelodge!

What can i say really. This is pretty much your standard travelodge. Clean and functional. Does what it says on the tin!
We booked quite a bit in advance and got the room for £26 which is a bargain really. It costs £5 to park your car though. Onsite bar cafe which we found a little pricey (£3 for bottle of Stella) but very handy.
Very close to the airport, turn left out of car park and that will take you pretty much straight to all the terminals.

As you would expect

It's a travelodge and serves its purpose pretty well. Basic, clean and handy for the airport. The beds are pretty uncomfortable but the room was really cheap (£26). It's very close to the airport but our taxi cost £6.50 which I thought was pretty steep but nothing to do with the hotel. When we arrived starving at 2pm we were told the bar/restaurant did not open until 5pm. However, the receptionist told us about a nearby pub which we walked to in 10 minutes - the food was very nice there and I'm sure much better than the hotel would have been anyway. This hotel does absolutely was it says on the tin and nothing more. Good for the price.
Nice Hotel At A Bargain Price
from discodancer
Stayed here for 1 night in July 2006 as i had a early morning flight to catch.
Location is about 5mins away from the airport by car / taxi, a taxi will cost you about £5, but the hotel do a shuttle service for £3 although im not sure if that is per person or per trip as i was travelling on my own.
Dispite been a single traveller i booked a family room at a bargain price of £26 per night.
Room is basic but thats to be expected of a Travelodge but it was clean on arrival and of a good size with a large double bed and a sofa, sofa also converts in to a bed.
Room has a colour TV showing BBC 1/2 ITV C4 & C5
Bathroom size is OK and again was clean on arrival, although the bath itself is a little on the small side, anyone over say 6ft tall aint going to fit in it but the shower was great nice and powerful.
This hotel does have a bar cafe plus you can order a hot meal, i never used any of theses so cant comment on them.
Overall a nice basic hotel with friendly staff at a great price and i will recommened it to anyone needing a overnight stay at the airport.

an o k hotel
from metts
Stayed here night before flight in room 133 . This room was over the entrance so didn't get much sleep as people were coming and going all night. Also with it being very hot and no air conditioning.
O k so at £26 we didnt pay a lot but to sleep would have been good. Payed £5 50 for a taxi from the railway station, and £6 to get to the airport in the hotels mini bus. No telephone in room or in reception. One bath towel each , no hand towel or bath mat. Pretty clean but thats because its new and not been open long.
