To help other persons who could be in a similar position, I wish to stress that this hotel is to be highly commended for its standard of service and cleanliness. Moreover, very careful attention is paid to personal security even down to the location of the room for a person travelling alone.
Further, the staff were delightful. On entering the restaurant I was warmly greeted and introduced to the staff by name. The reception staff had excellent manners. I was even greeted in the corridor by a member of staff who introduced himself by name and told me to please let him know if he could be of any assistance as he was on duty that night.
It took a little bit of time for me to adjust to the noise of traffic on Portland Street but the excellent air conditioning meant that I could have a comfortable night's sleep without opening windows and being subjected to unreasonable amounts of noise.
My room was superb value for money, with tasteful and cheerful decor and heaps of space.
If you read any reviews elsewhere about noisy and rude residents staying at this hotel, please bear in mind that unwelcome guests can check in at any hotel from time. Such experiences should not be read as the norm or indicative of the type of persons who would choose to stay at a given hotel. I had absolutely no problems in this respect and hope that this review will encourage many people to experience the same standard of excellent as I have done.

Public Transport Make sure you use the public tranaport system, its great, its on time and best of all its far cheaper than many of the big cities in Europe. Really puts Ireland to shame

Price- good, apart from the breakfast which is a rip off, loads of better places to get breakfast.
Reception staff-generally unhelpful,
The thing which was the most annoying was they offer a 'good night sleep guarantee', but when we rang reception at 3am to check out the constant fan noise it took them over an hour and another phone call to come to the room to check it out only to be told there was nothing they could do. Oh and there were no more rooms were available, so we spent the rest of the morning awake-not very good for a goos night sleep. It turns out that over half of the rooms have the same buzzing noise all night long, so if you can sleep through that then you should book the premier inn! I would rather have slept on the streets, as it would've been quieter!
