We would highly recommand the diamond lodge.
It has plenty of places to park in the car park.Very quick and simple check in with very friendly reception. The room was great with lots of room.We did have the main road by us but it hasnt put us off going again
Evening meal was fantastic and value for meal.Great food and plenty of it can not fault it one bit.
We will be going back in the future and proberbly for a few days more.

Fantastic Value For Money

Fantastic! Exceeded expectations.

If you're expecting 5* Luxury, you would be looking in the 40-50 per night range, would you? BUT, similarly, if you wanting good sized rooms, free Wifi in your room, inclusive of cooked breakfast, with restaurant for evening meals, you wouldn't expect to get it for under 50 per night. At the Diamond Logde, you do.

Staff are friendly. Rooms are adequate. Facilities are good. Parking is ample. Public transport could not be closer, with the bus stop to the city centre literally right outside. As long as your expectations are consistent with your ability to open your wallet, you can not be disappointed. Fantastic value for money and would definitely stay again. For budget conscious traveller, it comes highly recommended.

got to hotel where they told me my reservation was wrong and i had double checked my reservation 4 weeks earlier so as there was 6 of us they charged us an extra £60 on top of our original price to get some rooms. the beds are too small only 1 pillow per bed, no complimentary toiletries and very noisy being on a main road. light shinning through windows as only had blinds no curtains and some staff were friendly not all though, although cheaper rooms does cost quite a bit to get taxis everywhere.

Stayed here for a night in June 2011, was great for the money but there was a terrible smell in the room - really overpowing that we couldn't get rid off! Rooms could have been a bit cleaner but for the money and it was just a night.

I stopped here for two nights in November as I was seeing Jason Manford at the O2 Areana. Hotel is basic but for £39.95 which was the price at this time per night I thought was a bargain. However I work as a Housekeeper at a five star caravan park and I have to say the room was dirty, chewing gum on picture on wall, white marks in bathroom any questions on what this could have been, carpet hadn't been hoovered etc but I suppose its not a hotel with any standards its just a cheap stopover so on that basis it is okay as a hotel for a night or two but no longer. Word of warning beds are very uncomfortable. Breakfast is appalling in my opinion very basic and very little choice and the coffee was disgusting.
The start of the break was spoilt as there was a cock up at the reception desk as when I booked room over phone and gave them my card details I thought I'd payed only to arrive and find I haven't, I wasn't happy. Overall a bargain stay for a night out.

We stayed here for one night - Dec 2010 - Booking in was very easy and the staff were very pleasant. Room was exceptionally clean and very adequate - shower gel and soap supplied. Plenty of towels and room warm and cosy. Probably the only down side was the road noise, but you have to expect that and it didn't stop us having a lovely nights sleep. We had our evening meal in the hotel's own restaurant - what great value! - Would recommend the mixed grill for anyone with a very large appetite! The buffet breakfast was included in the price of the room and was brilliant - cereals, fruits, yoghurts, toast, bacon, eggs, beans, sausages, fruit juices, teas & coffees and more. Will be making this a regular stay when we call to see our son in Manchester.
Thanks to all the staff.
