Staying at the Britannia Country Hotel was not a good experience for me. I arrived in heavy rain, was unable to find anywhere to park. It took 15 mins to check in. Room was good, but heating thermostat broken, reported but staff never did anything. It continued to churn out very hot air for the full 3 days I was there. I was not able to open the windows due to the constant noise from the coaches coming and going with airport transfers, just below my window. They continued all night, with shouts and noise from the people and the coach engines. Anyway sounds better than the disco experience have read about in other reviews! Still got little good sleep and I was away on business so needed to have full brain power during day. The fire alarm kept going off as well, but all staff ignored it, quite worrying. Also the lift was broken when I arrived and I had to carry my heavy luggage up to the 4th floor, there was no suggestion of help. The lift was still out of order 3 days later, so had......
