the room is very small, one side of the bed has so little space that i can barely fit my suitcase in. the other side is very big, big enough for me to lay my suitcase down. i wish the room would be how it looked in the pictures. it was so nice and big, with good size furniture that wasn't falling apart.
Cleaniness: fairly clean. clean sheets. but dirty closet, drawers, and a layer of dust collected on the radiator.
odd bit: it is a double room booked in for two people, but there is only one set of towel. TV is lovely, and new, with poor signal or no signal at all. surely, birch hotel is not that far away to actually have poor TV signal... furniture in the room is still standing, but its paint is splintering off. there are some random holes on them... perhaps where some other bits of it used to be?
noise level: noisy road with constant traffic. noisy next door neighbor, whose conversation was presented in front of me word by word, as well as the 'bad boy' song playing in the background. now are they too loud or is the wall too thin?
good bits: free Wifi! always a bonus.
If i paid for 55 pounds a night i would not complain. however i was made to pay 70 pounds when i arrived because that is the 'real' price they charge. surely this is false advertising?
i will need to travel down to manchester in 1 month time, but i will not make the same mistake and stay in this hotel again.
