What a nightmare

Agrhhh..horrid room. Not been painted since 1977, yellow walls, ceiling stains, carpet stains, upholstery ripped, water coming through extractor fan in ceiling, musty smell. Only redeeming factor was clean sheets.

I rang on a Friday morning to check availability of a double room B&B for my wife and myself for that evening. I was told that there was a room available and my credit card and all details were taken over the phone to hold the reservation.

We arrived some three hours later to be greeted by a "smiling" receptionist saying that there was no room. The system was slow when I had booked; she had been looking at the "Function Room" etc. All weak excuses for atrocious customer service. As good an example as any of a clear breach of contract. If I had not turned up or cancelled later in the day, I'm absolutely certain that my credit card would have been debited!
Would I recommend the Mount unPleasant? Use your imagination!

I found my stay at the Mount Pleasant hotel very relaxing and enjoyable. I was greeted by a smiling face and the other staff were lovely to. I found the room more the adequate and the food from their restaurant was to die for. I will definitely be recommending them to friends and family. Well done and thank you!!
