This is the most dog friendly place we have ever stayed at.

A lovely few days was had by all the family, including the dogs. This is the most dog friendly place we have ever stayed at.
A hotel with lovely views over Lynmouth. Our room was nicely furnished and comfortable, the food at breakfast and dinner was very reasonable, our children liked it alot.
The small pool was good for the children and there were games & table tennis.

Overall this hotel is very dog & children friendly, they are allowed everywhere. The outdoors pool is heated and children spend most of their time in the water.
The only problem for families were at meal times, children have to eat before 7 and adults after, so families cannot have a meal together, although there is a games room for the children.
Unfortunately for us we were looking for a few days away from the children maybe this was not the best choice that we could have made.
We chose to eat out every night.
There are many many walks and and the coast and countryside is stunningly beautiful.
We would definately visit Lynmouth again, but maybe an adult friendly hotel.
Just being in the room made us feel depressed!

I have stayed in a number of hotels all over the world and can honestly say that The Tors was mediocre at best.
When we got in we were shocked at the decor we found. It was a tired and dated and we had paid over £100 per night.
The facilities almost non-existent and the beds uncomfortable. We managed to get some cold plates of food from the restaurant was shut by 9:00pm. Next morning we checked out and found somewhere much nicer altogether to stay in Lynmouth.

I have since childhood wanted to stop at the Tors. God did i make a mistake! lovely views but it ends there food was dire and I mean dire! pool is little more than a leaf filled pond and the loungers were filthy. the decor as in the other review old folks home.i wrote and complained in May but as yet December have yet to receive a reply. Save yourself some money and heartache and go somewhere else. I found out too late that there are much nicer places to stay in Lynmouth.
