I stayed at this location in June of 2005 for almost 2 weeks. I found it no where near the quality of a 4 star hotel. The staff was deceptive and downright rude when questioned about what was included in the "specials". I spent much more than I should have for services like Internet. They provided only minimal information (apparently unless you wanted something they sold or got a cut of). When I complained about the charges they adjusted my bill - slightly - but after doing my expense report I see they made up for it elsewhere anyway. I had to leave for 3 nights to travel elsewhere and when I returned (for one night) the room they "saved" for me must of been their favorite room for "problem customers" it was in very poor condition. The Remote control didn't work, 1/2 of the lights in the room didn't work the chairs had stains on them and the arms were threadbare. After spending more than $3000.00 dollars at this hotel I would of expected more. I can't comment on other Thistle hotels but the marble arch is one I clearly would never stay at again let alone recommend. The only helpful person was the baggage guy.
Oh and the $30.00 hamburger I order via room service was not even as good as a McDonalds. Breakfast seemed to be the only meal they knew how to cook.
