I NEVER BELIVED THAT A DIRTY HOTEL COULD EXIST. THE WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE IN OUR LIFE.I´m not scrupulous but this hotel is too much. And we payed a lot of money for the room. They ruined our holidays in london. We found buggies in the bed.Really, really HORRIBLE.

Dirty Hole

The worst place I have ever stayed, rooms absolutly riddled with dirt. Rooms, corridors, toilets all disgusting. As for en-suite facillities, what a joke, some all in one toilet shower unit stuck in a cupboard. Only good thing going for hotel was location and concierge service, great being able to dump your luggage. Would not recommend at all, if anything place needs demolished.

Bed Bugs!

Discount price cause they know its festering with cockroaches and bedbugs. The manager told me it's shutting down this December (2006) and I hope they burn it out to an empty shell and start over. It was filthy and the shared toilet and bathrooms are revolting. Also our room door looked like it had been broken into a few times. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

The room was small amd hot even when it was cold outside. The windows do not open, ever. Very noisy (we stayed at the 6th floor) at nights, from 9 pm onwards. and they charge 6 pounds (!) for storage (we checked out at 12 and had to leave the luggage there). stay out!

I was here for two days with my son and I can be short. Room was reasonable, but needs some paint and refurnising Bathrooms were filthy, some with broken doors that couldn,t be closed. Location was the best, right on Picadilly Circus

When first arriving i thought the downstairs was lovely we stayed on the 6th floor i didnt like the idea of sharing the shower as it wasnt up to much but where the hotel was it as value for money and very central i would stay there again if i had an ensuite and it was good that breakfast was included in the price.

I've stayed at the Regent Palace twice now, and will be returning this year. It is a budget hotel, so you will not find a lot of comfort or even luxury. If you seek that, please look elsewhere. But, if you are looking for affordable accommodation right in the centre of central London, the Regent Palace is the best hotel you can find. It's just off Piccadilly Circus, in walking distance from almost every theatre in the West End, as well as the British Museum. The hallways could use better airing, but the rooms are clean, there is a nice Irish bar in the hotel, and the staff is friendly and helpful (not always cursed with too much intelligence, though - I tried to report a clogged drain in the showers once, and although my English is not that bad, I had some difficulties getting the point across. It took about 3 tries to convince the desk clerk that I did not wish to take another shower at the time, since I just had one. He found that very confusing.

Shopping in London

Regent Palace is certainly not the Savoy but it is Okay for 4 days in London, if you go shopping. It is basically clean, the furniture is old but if there is anything really wrong, just talk to the staff, and they will do their best to fix it. The location is perfect, you save a fortune just by not having to buy tube tickets. I continuously go there and was always content with service and room. I definitely recommend it for young people wanting to explore the West Side and preferring to spend money in the shops instead on large hotel bills.
