Shopping in London

Regent Palace is certainly not the Savoy but it is Okay for 4 days in London, if you go shopping. It is basically clean, the furniture is old but if there is anything really wrong, just talk to the staff, and they will do their best to fix it. The location is perfect, you save a fortune just by not having to buy tube tickets. I continuously go there and was always content with service and room. I definitely recommend it for young people wanting to explore the West Side and preferring to spend money in the shops instead on large hotel bills.
Good value

I stayed with my boyfriend at the Regent Palace, and we were very pleased with the stay. The bed was nice, the bathroom clean if small - but at the same size as a lot of other places in London - and there has been nothing to complain about. Roomservice every day meaning fresh towels and soap. Our room was on the 1st floor and not noisy at all, we kept our passports etc in a locker in the reception, where a very kind and helpfull staff also were ready to help with information etc. Good value for the low price, excellent for travellers only staying for a few days or so, but not ideal for a romantic vacation with a boyfriend.
For travellers on a budget this is absolutely ideal. Thumbs up for this hotel regarding service and location.

Dirtiest Place I've Ever Been

Please do not stay here. It was the dirtiest, most unfriendly place I have ever been, let alone slept in.

Best with the hotel is its location

The best with the hotel is its location right in the middle of London center that why me and my daughter choosed it. It was also very priceble. Good in all the areas we saw such as front desk, foyer and roomservice. We mostly slept there. Some - nights a bit noisy from other guests but alright.
Stinky and uncomfortable

When i arrived there was a mix up with the booking's, this was the first disapointment. When walking into the room there was a smell of damp. The bed was very uncomfortable and there were springs comming through the matress. Add to this the genral uncleanliness of the room and the unfriendly staff, this was one of the worst hotels i have stayed in. Not to mention the room had no bathroom! This was placed a considerable distance from the room. And had loose tiles on the floor and mould on the shower head. The only good feature about this hotel was the location. But was not worth the price per head per person. The regent palace, from what i saw was a dump.

Great location, very friendly & helpful staff, already planning to return, the only problem I had was when I booked it stated that regent rooms had hairdryers but it didn't & I was told I could get 1 from the reception for £20 deposit but when I went they didn't have any left but everything else was great.
Top Local Tips for London
Tea at the Ritz Make it a point to have afternoon tea at the Ritz. It's pricey, but the food is plentiful and very filling, the service is impeccable, and the ambience is not pretentious. Business casual is appropriate. Make reservations!
