Friendly, clean & superbly located even if dated

The Mitre House Hotel is superbly located, for Paddington Rail & tube stations and three major tube lines. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the hotel is clean and tidy and has lift access throughout, although entrance has 4 steps that make wheelchair access difficult initially. No lunch or evening dining room but plenty around the hotel to make that point inconsequential. Hyde Park is just around the corner as are a wide range of 'eateries' (if you love Italian go to Villa Rosa; freindly with excellent honest good value dishes: one step access for wheelchairs). 20 minutes from the City and 30 minutes from Heathrow; all without breaking the bank. We would return.
