oyster get an oyster card, £3 for the card, and you pay less on the tube and bus, but never more than a day ticket for all your journeys. If not going to london again, hand the card back for a refund and the money on the cra d given back as well. You cannot loose
oyster card If you spend more or up to a week and go back to London it is worth getting an oyster card from any tube station as it will save you a lot of money if you are taking the bus or the trains.I think it cost 3 pounds and it is yours for life so you can use it anytime you go back to london.

The room was generally clean - although I noticed a few stains on the covers. To be honest I didn't really look too closely as I decided that what I couldn't see, couldnt harm me! I noticed that although my bed had been made, the covers had not been washed - simply made the bed with the covers I had slept in the previous night (not impressed).
The lift is a manual lift where you have to open and close the doors your self - which sums the hotel up really, very tired and in need of modernisation.
One of the reasons I stayed was for the WIFI internet access. Howevever, this was a joke as the wireless router is located in the basement meaning that if you are in a room higher than the 1st floor there wont be enough signal to get online. I was on the top floor so I never stood a chance.
It's not all doom and gloom though - the staff are very friendly and the breakfast is very nice. Excellent service! The dining area is also pleasent and is the nicest area in the hotel.
This hotel is advertided as a 'budget' hotel so you would be wrong to expect much more. If like me you were simply staying there due to business then it is fine. However, I would certainly not reccomend you stay there if on holiday as personally I would be very dissappointed and would more than likely walk straight back out of the door.
Another negative is that there is no air con so you have to have the window open, which means that your going to need some ear plugs as the Euston road is very noisey. A small fan is supplied but this makes more noise than the trafiic outside!
This hotel is set up for the solo business traveller who does not want to spend much time in the hotel and is looking for somewhere safe to rest their head. It is not for a couple wishing to stay here on holiday - I stayed in a double room and there was barely enough space for my clothes - let alone anyone elses.
To conclude, you get what you pay for. I personally would not stay here again but it wouldn't be the end of the world if I was forced to. I'd recommed opting for a double room though as I can imagine how small the single rooms must be!
