K West Hotel And Spa London

My partner and I stayed at the K West in the most expensive room the "K Suite" last weekend (Nov 2007). It was suppose to be a surprise as it was my partners 40th Birthday. I wanted to give my partner a relaxed weekend, so I chose K West as they had the spa. Instead of relaxing and enjoying the stay, some of the hotel staff did their best to stress us out. As we did not have a credit card we had to pay in advance at check in (I had no issues with that) although they made us pay £200 deposit which I did get back. Then we were harassed by a member of staff at the spa for treatments that had already been paid for (kept calling our room whilst we were having dinner). Made to wait over 30min when checking out whilst they check the room (in case we had taken anything) and they were aware that we had a cab waiting outside. Spent over £1000 at the hotel and would have expected a better service. Overall we felt we were treated like criminals. NOT RECOMMENDED!!

I was very pleased with my experience in K West, from the rooms quality to the service, the hotel is beyond the general European quality, and is part of today's modern boutique hotels. Will definitely be where I will stay on my next trip to London.

The hotel design was nice albeit a bit strange given the extreme length of the hotel and it's unattractive location. You had the feeling of the sacrifices you were making as a guest (a good price for an out of the way 'boutique' hotel) and the hotel service did not try and make up for this. My room was quite spacious and clean although the view was not desirable. The spa was acceptable although I didn't have much time to use it.

I always stay at the K West Hotel when I have business in London. It offers excellent value for money and is in easy reach of central London as it is served by the Central Line. The hotel is modern and chique, the bedrooms are large and well appointed and the decor and fittings are maintained to a very high standard. The staff are friendly and well trained and the food is good. I would not have any reservations in recommending the K West.

My partner and I stayed at the K West on 1st & 2nd Oct 04. It was meant to be a surprise weekend for my partner's birthday. I want to give my partner a relaxed weekend, so I chose K West due to the spa. Instead of distressing ourselves, the hotel staff did their best to stress us out. I emailed the hotel prior arrival confirming the reservation, requesting non-smoking room, etc. The email I got back from them was saying I've booked an entry-level room and I can upgrade the room to deluxe for £30+VAT per night. I replied and rejected the offer as I thought a standard room would be sufficient. On the day of arrival, my partner and I stood in front to the check-in desk to fill in the form. The receptionist asked if I want to upgrade the room for £30. I was put off by it as I felt that they're so keen to sell you upgrades all the time.
