Beware rm 17 at least, totally unpleasant. Noisy (traffic, major), cramped, humid, uncomfortable. Misleading advertising. Original room of original house partitioned into three by wafer thin cardboard panels; shower actually in bedroom. Cupboard simply a door opening on to a 6" recess not even the width of a shoe. Avoid.

As soon as we walked though the door, I knew my husband and I had chosen the right place to stay. It took us at least ten minutes to get to reception because of the fascinating pictures and paintings covering all the walls of the hallway and stairs (and the bedroom once we got in there) which we had to stop to look at. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and showed us to our room. The room was peaceful and quiet, overlooking the brightly coloured garden (which i recommend you request). The room was spacious and decorated well. It was situated well, to be able to travel around London town easily. Overall it was good value and i felt extremeley comfortable staying there, and will definately be booking for there on my next visit.

Top Local Tips for London

Oyster Card If you are planning to use the tube at any time, invest in an Oyster Card. It saves you money and is really convenient. We only found out after our umpteenth time visiting London (we lived up north)- what a waste!

Hidden Egyptian Treasures in Bloomsbury The Petrie Museum, located down an alley in the University College of London, was amazing. The admission fee was minimal. In this small space on the second floor of a college building, was an astounding collection of Egyptian artifacts. There were specimens from many periods of Egyptian civilization, including very ancient times, the pharoahs and the Coptic period. It's all crammed into a fairly small space, but everything was beautiful, including a full size sarcophagus. Any major museum in the world would love to have some of the specimens in this little place.

Transportarse con adolescentes El hijo menor de 16 años que viaje por la red de metro y de autobuses acompañado por un adulto paga por una "one day travel card" tan solo 1 libra. ¡Un gran ahorro!
