Top Local Tips for London
My experience i just wanted to mention a few random thoughts from our recent trip to London. we learned that traveling with kids 11 and 14, it was cheaper to just buy daily tube passes for zones 1 & 2 because the kids only cost 1 pound each when you buy an adult pass whereas if you bought a three day pass it is much more for kids. we hit several of the museums as they were all free and very interesting. we didn't stay long in any one of them but hit some of the highlights like the library had the magna carta. just walkiing the streets at all times of the day and night was great entertainment as all nationality's are really over in london and the kids saw a lot of people. we wanted to take an excursion to oxford and stratford upon avon but it was so very expensive and a long day of travel. so we opted to just stay in london and see as much as we could. one of the highlights was looking at kensington palace (from the outside). the reason is we then walked thru the gorgous parks. this is a must
London= a natural "DisneyLand" walk,walk,walk... both side of the river Thames...strand/fleet street... Piccadilly circus > Leicester Square>Charing Cross Road- - -Leicester > Covent Garden >Neal Street> Shaftesbury> Tottenham Court Station...ask for the British Museum, someone will point after Brit Museum>Russell Square>Baker Street,thru Regents Park >the zoo>Primrose Hill>Camden Town...Piccadilly t> Regents Street > Oxford Street down Oxford Street to Hyde Park to Kensington(Harrods) or Notting Hill or Green Park...this is the most fascinating walking city in the WORLD . I could go on for 26 consecutive hours writing "walks" I have been to London 25 times,sometimes for more than a month!!!!Haven't seen it all yet.It is amazing!!!!
