Horrible and rude managment

I wanted to arrange for my sister to stay at a nearby hotel as her flat was infected with wasps. I usually book hotels online but as I was not actualy staying there, I call the hotel to see if it was ok. The man that answered the phone first cut me off and told me to call back as he had a costomer. I then called back and explained the situation and he asked what time my sister was going to arrive. I said it would be after 10pm as she was traveeling from work. He said this time was not appropriate for him. I stated that I would paying for the room now. He then aggressively asked for my sisters name and my name ( last name was not asked). I then gave him my debit card details. I then asked if everything regarding the room was ok and if said if payment goes through then its fine, but if not he'll call me back. I then said let me give him my number and he repiled thathe already had it. At that moment I felt insulted that he thought my card would be declined. I also realised at that time that the stated landline number provided on the site had actually been redirected to a mobile. That morning at 1 am my sister told me that she had been turned away as she did not have any ID on her. She then had to travel all the way from north london to east london. I tried calling the hotel but there was no answer and I recieved a mobile voicemail. then sent a text message explaining what was going on. I was very upset at this time as I felt thatthey had still charged me. In the text I asked for someone to call me but I didnt recieve anything. I called later that morning and the man whom I spoke to denied that the incident ever happened. He accused my sister of lying, that she went to the wrong hotel and that his staff would not ask for ID. At this point I was very upset and said I did not feel I should have to pay for a room and due to their error my sister could not stay. He said that he did not hear anything of that this morning , even though he wasnt there he knows that she didnt come. He would not listen and he even hung up the phone. There was no way for me to contact anybody else at the hotel as there is a misrepsentation of teh landline number.

this place is fantastic. the prices are brilliant and that would me tend to think its sub standard. its not!! the atmosphere is very relaxing and the staff are friendly and it feels like its your house or your own environment. it has a nice back yard for your cup of tea which is yours to make if ya want it free of charge. the rooms are very clean and its 30 minutes from down town and handy to get to.

It was one of the most comfortable and memorable stays, at a very reasonable price and high hospitality. The room was clean, staff friendly, facilities excellent and the staff very accommodating and responsive of needs and requirements. I would definitely stay there, whenever I need a budget accommodation in London
