OK, there were gripes

The room was spectacular - huge with a mezzanine and we could have comfortably slept four. The shower in the bath was fantastic. Great views to the Natural History Museum (bit noisy for country folk such as ourselves!) The staff were very pleasant. OK there were gripes - The biggest gripe - the towels (described on the hotels own website to be "the thickest fluffiest warm towels") would not have been out of place in a cheap ski chalet - small, thin and definitely not fluffy. The decor could do with a bit of a makeover - stained carpets and curtains that did not shut/missing hooks etc. The beds, although comfy really need a mattress cover. Breakfast was OK - but for the price I dont expect butter in a foil wrapper - very Travelodge!

We had a very nice stay at Queensgate Hotel last year. Large bed at an all perfect service.
