Noisy Students!!!

from AMH1
The apartment itself was fine - needed a lick of paint but very spacious and airy. The reception staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The trouble started as I settled down for the night about 11pm. I was in Apartment 320 which backs onto Victoria Hall which is a halls of residence for students. There are a couple of courtyards which act as echo chambers for any noise, so when there was a group of about 20 students screaming and shouting in the middle it was very noisy indeed. I stuck some tissue in my ears and finally managed to get to sleep about 1.30am. However, at 3.45am the students had multiplied and were now having an almighty argument in one courtyard, men shouting, girls screaming and crying at top volume. This went on until 4.30am. I didn't exactly feel very rested when I got up at 7am for my business meeting.

It was a real shame because it's very central and has secure parking but I would have to say avoid, or at least take earplugs!

I used to stay here for work but after so many bad experiences have vowed never again! I have never had a good night's sleep in my five visits over the past 2 is very noisy, the blinds don't work so the room is very bright all night, the TV rarely works, reception shuts quite early (6pm if I remember rightly) so if there is a problem there is no-one to help. Worst of all, on one visit a spotlight in the kitchen was on and I couldn't for the life of me find the switch to turn it off! I spent 2 hours looking everywhere - even inside cupboards but there was no switch! Thus I got no sleep because the bedroom was open plan and I was right next to the very hot and bright spotlight! It would've been funny if it wasn't real life!

Setting the Record Straight

Lets begin with the location of premier apartments. All I can say is when they said central they meant central. It really was the heart of the city centre with everything at your feet. On arriving at reception we were met with a pleasant smile and were given a complimentary cappuccino! We were escorted to the apartment which was huge! High Ceilings, Bright, Clean & Spacious (which was requested) accompanied with a very nice interior. There were menus to order food and have it delivered which we did not avail of but very handy if we were too hungover to eat out! The kitchen had evey utensil we needed and my only complaint was the cooker which could have done with a scrub.
One thing they could of also had was a second mirror in the bedroom as oppose one small one in the bathroom. As you girls know getting ready for a night out with a tiny mirror between you could lead to violence! Anyway we had a fantastic time and a very relaxed stay. I would recommend Premier Aparmtents to anyone going to Liverpool and we will definetely be going back!

A very happy customer from Ireland.

A room? Pah! Give me an apartment!

Firstly the staff here were excellent. Very friendly and helpful. For £85 for the night we got a whole open plan apartment with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Very well equipped kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, oven, crocs and a DVD player. First impressions are amazing. Designed by John Rocha so very white and trendy. Leather sofa and spotlights. In an amazing location very close to Albert Dock and central liverpool. Make sure you BOOK a car park space as they are very limited. Only downside is that on closer inspection it was a bit grubby in places, the shower was a pathetic dribble and lots of duff lightbulbs. Would recommend but to be honest we missed the 'perks' of a hotel stay - cookie brekkie etc. Would be brill if you're a regular hotel guest and want a change. Don't have a takaway from the pizzza menu provided either - grim.

Needs a make over

Seven of us stayed between 2 apartments for a girls weekend. The apartments are very central and it only takes 5 mins to walk in to the main shopping street. They have a very cool layout but they need some money spent on them. They need painted as the walls are very grubby, a new carpet and bathrooms need updated as they are very basic. The windows are very big and the blinds look like they are 30 years old and let the light in so it was hard to sleep in as they are so bright. Another thing is that there is only 1 key for each apartment which was hard to manage with such a big group. The apartments are very dusty I don't think the cleaners are very good, but the beds are clean and comfy. We had a good time and were happy but I would def not describe the apartments as luxury & would probably just stay in a hotel next time.

Good location in the city centre

from Hartlepudlian
We booked these apartments through the Expedia website, after checking the city map as to exactly where they were situated, they are within five minutes walk of the centre with the shopping, dining/drinking/entertainment area all within very easy walking distance - even in the rain. The area they are in is very quiet even though they are building a new block right next door, we found that all the staff were helpful and friendly.

The apartments are roomy with all the usual facilities - we had apartment 306 (beware of 312 - its extremely small). Everything was in working condition, but if you like a thick pillow the best idea is to take your own - we had three each ... and they were still not very deep.

We think that they are very good value for money, afterall if its too bad weather to go out there is always the DVD player or the CD player, the TV or even as a last resort you can always watch the washing machine going round...... - always check the various websites as these companies all seem to charge differently.

good value, great location

from inchvale
we had spacious two double bedrooms and a toilet on an upper level ( which is in one off the bed rooms so was basically on suite), an open plan kitchen, dining area and living area,a spacious bathroom on the main level just inside the front door.the floor to ceiling windows mostly had blinds the light blasted into the room rather too early as we were missing a blind on the top window, not that it would have made much difference if it was there as they were not black out blinds. it was clean spacious perfect location you could walk to the main shopping and drinking areas no problem - in there was no need for taxi unless you has loads of shopping bags!

Unbelievably noisy

from A TripAdvisor Member
Rented an appartment at the beginning of January 2006 which was supposed to have two bedrooms but which in fact had a large mezzanine with two open sleeping areas. The appartment was large and could have been very comfortable if it had been clean and well maintained. However it was quite dirty, the shower only worked after a lot of persuasion and the en-suite radiator was in a cupboard in the second sleeping area!!!! None of this however compared to the problem of noise. Due to the construction of the building and what seems to be an almost total lack of sound proofing there was constant noise until after 4 a.m every morning. However we could at least read all night without turning on a light as the whole area is floodlit and the blinds at the window so badly fitting and inadequate that night was lighter in the flat than day!!!!
Am sure there are much better alternatives than this in Liverpool

surprisngly good accommodation

from A TripAdvisor Member
we only stayed one night but it turned out to be an excellent choice (and at a good price too - i think we booked it thru the Late Rooms website). the 'room' was huge - we had spacious two double bedrooms and a toilet on an upper level, an open plan kitchen, dining area and living area, with a hallway and a spacious bathroom on the main level. it was in need of a little repair - the floor to ceiling windows mostly had blinds but two were broken and the light blasted into the room rather too early in the morning for me. the staff at reception were helpful, there is on-site secure car parking, and a great view over the west of the city, including bits of the river. the kitchen area was reasonably equipped and with cooker, microwave etc it would have been possible to self cater. the area is very convenient, close to the city centre and many restaurants, bars and cultural attractions, just by the mouth of the birkenhead tunnel. i'd happily stay again.

Top Local Tips for Liverpool

Liverpool FC / Everton FC, Mathews Street Festival Definitely while you're there, go see a football match if you can. The city of Liverpool has two top level teams, Liverpool FC and Everton FC. Both are very good, though Liverpool is the weathier of the two and has historically been more successful. Nonetheless, both teams possess top ranked and well known players........ and if you come in August, you absolutely cannot afford to miss the Mathews Street Festival. It's a week long festival with tribute and original bands from all over the world playing on several different stages throughout the city. and one more thing... avoid the city center at night if you can. Can get a little crazy at night, but is spectacular during the day. Go to the Albert Dock area as well. And see the Liverpool statue birds, they're famous for something.
