I held my Father's surprise 70th Birthday party at the Hotel - just after the change of ownership. The whole event was just what we wanted and the new owner, Billy, made sure the evening went perfectly. Very well organised, lovely staff and the food was plentiful and tasty. Nothing was too much trouble - I can highly recommend this hotel as the best in Lichfield.

It is unlikely that you will find better at the price. We, that is my wife and I were very pleased. I am unsure of the exact date but it was for the Staffordshire Regimental Band Annual Dinner. Terry

Well done to Sally-Jayne and all the waiting and bar staff, Trevor & I had the most wonderful weekend as did all our guests. Its such a shame that we are to be the last function at THE LITTLE BARROW.Junst as a matter of interest, I was also a guest at a 50th wed anniversary for my parents about 30 years ago , and I have to say nothing has changed, its still as great as ever it was. We would like to wish all the staff who have lost their jobs GOOD LUCK for your futures ,you will be missed. Thanks a million. JUNE&TREVOR XX

From the very start of my stay I was extremely disappointed. Upon entering the hotel, i was greeted by what looked like, chefs of the hotel, who were sat in the entrance smoking. The hotel was shabby and very disorganised. The small, smoke filled bar was unpleasant;the restaurant wasn't even set up for any customers who didn't want eat in a smokey environment. The staff, although pleasant, were unrecognisable due to the absence of a uniform, and were sat at the bar smoking and eating their dinner infront of guests. There was no presence of a manager and it seemed there was a lack of organisation and motivation within the staff. I understand it is a small 3 star hotel, after staying in many hotels, but surely after paying a lot of money for a room, certain standards are expcected.

We had our wedding reception and evening party both at the little barrow hotel and we was not very inpressed at all, it was badly run, there was no organisation, the staff were unpleasent and moody, food was not up to standards and there was not enough to go round all the guests, they didnt cook enough childrens meals which we had paid for, it was the hottest day in june last year and there was no air conditioning. We paid out alot of money and didnt get the standards we had paid for. Very dissopointing. It ruined the biggest day of our lives.

In my opinion the hotel was vey good. The food was good and there was a good variety to slect from. The food was reasonable price and more importnatly it was served very quickly, usually between 15-20 minutes of ordering it. The bar that they had was excellent, offering a good range of real ales, draught lager and guiness as well as a number of spirits. I found that my room was very tidy and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. the shower facilities were excellent as well. The service offered by the staff was excellent. They were always keen to help and were extremely polite.
