Fantastic Food & Good Room
Stayed for the weekend and had a fantastic time. New owners had just taken over the hotel and the locals said this had made a big difference. The food was outstanding, rooms large and well appointed and a great atmosphere at in the bar. Perfect.

Friendliest Place
We have never had a more welcoming stay anywhere. The staff treated us like friends after just one day. They couldn't do more to help. The food was plentiful, delicious and pleasantly served.

Good service and staff
When we booked Golden Lion, we explained that it was our anniversary and we never get away. When we got there, they said that the restaurant had a function on, so we had to eat in the bar, which we were v disappointed about. the room was not v clean and we wad kept awake all night due to r next door neighbour dog barking and telly on all night.
