My daughter 3 young boys and myself recently travelled up to Leeds from Surrey to treat the boys to a Leeds United game(they are Leeds mad). We arrived earlier than expected but it was no problem to the hotel - they let us drop off our bags even though the room wasn't quite ready. Brian on reception was great with the boys, and couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. The hotel might need a bit of an update from the outside but our room was very clean and the bed linen spotless,(and i am fussy!). The bathroom was also spotless. The swimming pool was great for entertaining the boys when we got back from the match. We shall definitely book this again when we next come up to Leeds. The friendy staff made our overnight stay great and the boys had a brilliant time - even if Leeds did lose! |

The menu was very limited and the starters and desserts were very disappointing. When we wanted to order more drinks the waitress was nowhere to be seen, and nobody told us that we should help ourselves to the carvery and desserts. In fact, the waitresses barely said a word to us during the entire duration of the meal, and they even handed us a bill at the end that had not been added up to show the total.
Upon reading the local newspaper the day after the meal, we were disappointed to find that we could have had the carvery for £4.95 as opposed to our 'special' meal for £15 each. This means that we paid and extra £10.05... Read more |
