We stopped here for one night (Sunday). We arrived at around lunchtime and our room was ready for us. Evening dinner was excellent. Only one word for the whole experence...Fantastic.

This is the first time I stayed at the Verzon and I have now told my company only to use this hotel. Great beer! Great food! Friendly staff! And upgrade with out even asking...brill! Highly recommend thisd hotel. Can not wait to bring my girlfriend.

I booked a single room at the hotel and upon arrival I was upgraded to a superior deluxe at no extra charge. I had a light dinner in the bar and the food and service was excellent. I look forward to a return visit.

What a wonderful place! A real home away from home. Audrey and Peter were wonderful hosts. My meal was fantastic. The service is friendly and discreet. I can not wait to return.

I needed to get away for a weekend just to have a much needed rest. Verzon House was recommended and it lives up to its reputation. The marks family and their staff are so friendly and really made me feel welcome. The service is outstanding not too mention the souffle for dessert. The rooms are a treat. I can not wait to return.

Wish I'd read these reviews before staying there. Sad to say I agree with them. Why do people have to spoil things?

Was nice, now bad. Basically looks the same but a bit run down as you english would say. As for the food sometimes its ok but the last two meals were not very good. More like pub food than good food if you know what I mean.

The woman(owner) is a snob. I am not used to this treatment. The new owner kept on about French customers in her old 'better' establishment were much more sophisticated in their tastes. So why did they move here? We will NOT be going back.
As a footnote we were actually thinking of buying the place because previously it had such an excellent reputation. So happy we visited first!

As per previous reviews we too were disappointed. It looks the same, apart from a little run down, tatty. But the food..... well its unfair to comment when they can not reply but let me say I shall NOT be eating there again. Such a great shame.

Stayed before no problems. This time food was bad. Decor much the same except looking a little run down. Will not be staying again.

Eastnor castle Visit this amazing house/castle! It is like being in house of someone so obsessed with castles they built one for them selves and packed it full of castle related stuff! true eccentricity at its best!
