Shabby and Gloomy
The first room we were given a key for was in the courtyard (motel syle). It was already occupied! The second in the main building we were told had a river view (more like a glimpse) and was dirty and pokey. We had no choice but to accept the third which was a large but shabby and gloomy. Breakfast was awful. We didn't risk dinner. It is a pity because the hotel looks lovely from the outside. Needs a complete overhaul. Service very indifferent. Very, very disappointing.

The Worst ever
Hotel reception unmanned, hotel uncared for bread moldy, food very average, rooms dirty, curtains dirty, floors filthy, utter neglect, dreadful. We left as soon as we could find another hotel.

The worst hotel ever
Absolute hole, filthy dirty stained towels and carpets, moldy walls in bathrooms. Wallpaper peeling off all over the place. Holes in walls, fag ash found in bedside drawers, food awful. When complants made to owner, he didn't seem to think anything was wrong.

Very Very Poor
Booked on the telephone in good faith and gave debit card details. The service on arrival was terrible, no one came for 15 minutes. We had reservations as soon as we walked in, on checking in I could see into the kichen and it was absolutely filthy like something of Ramsey's Nightmares. On seeing the room we decided not to stay as it was filthy, dust, dirty glasses in the bathroom, mess on the carpet, stains on the bedding and more. I was polite when leaving, but the manager said he would have to charge a cancellation fee and as he had my card details there was nothing I could do! Please do not stay at this hotel.

Avoid unless nothing else available
Terrible customer service - no view of river as promised, 10 min wait for someone to come to reception. Dinner awful - deep fried supermarket frozen meals; Room very tired, no shower (despite shower curtain on bath); no toiletries, one bedside lamp with 20 watt bulb; curtains filthy. And on a sunday breakfast only served from 8-9!!
