I rang Nick during the week to upgrade my son and daughter in laws room. He said will do. Call me to-morrow. Called. He was Out. Called again. He was out. Called again. He was out. They were only given one key to the hotel and not a key for the main gate. Where they were having their receptuion the owner rang and was told. Tell them to be here in five minutes, no longer or they will be locked out. Think they would have been happier to be locked out as the room was damp, shabby and not particularly clean. Not to mention the state of the ceiling and curtains. Breakfast in the morning only one member of staff on and she was the cook, waitress, receptionist to name but a few roles. Such a shame as it weas their wedding night and by the way Nick does know him. They paid their bill in full and left. No they will not be back.

The first room we were given a key for was in the courtyard (motel syle). It was already occupied! The second in the main building we were told had a river view (more like a glimpse) and was dirty and pokey. We had no choice but to accept the third which was a large but shabby and gloomy. Breakfast was awful. We didn't risk dinner. It is a pity because the hotel looks lovely from the outside. Needs a complete overhaul. Service very indifferent. Very, very disappointing.

Hotel reception unmanned, hotel uncared for bread moldy, food very average, rooms dirty, curtains dirty, floors filthy, utter neglect, dreadful. We left as soon as we could find another hotel.

Absolute hole, filthy dirty stained towels and carpets, moldy walls in bathrooms. Wallpaper peeling off all over the place. Holes in walls, fag ash found in bedside drawers, food awful. When complants made to owner, he didn't seem to think anything was wrong.

Booked on the telephone in good faith and gave debit card details. The service on arrival was terrible, no one came for 15 minutes. We had reservations as soon as we walked in, on checking in I could see into the kichen and it was absolutely filthy like something of Ramsey's Nightmares. On seeing the room we decided not to stay as it was filthy, dust, dirty glasses in the bathroom, mess on the carpet, stains on the bedding and more. I was polite when leaving, but the manager said he would have to charge a cancellation fee and as he had my card details there was nothing I could do! Please do not stay at this hotel.

Terrible customer service - no view of river as promised, 10 min wait for someone to come to reception. Dinner awful - deep fried supermarket frozen meals; Room very tired, no shower (despite shower curtain on bath); no toiletries, one bedside lamp with 20 watt bulb; curtains filthy. And on a sunday breakfast only served from 8-9!!

I would like to say that we had a wonderful experience at this hotel from the beginning through to the end. The staff made us feel very welcome from the moment we checked in, the rooms were clean, tidy with an excellent view of the river and all facilities working. Excellent location with the hotel situated on the River Thames. Most importantly both the evening meal and breakfast were superb and for the price we paid we would fully recommend this hotel to any of our friends or relatives.

Tired rooms, hotel needs updating, shouldn't be classed as 3*. Flies in bathroom, cracked mirror, no bedside lights, nothing worked, need I go on.
Good points - friendly staff, clean sheets, convenient location, breakfast & dinner O.K. and when I complained about the room we did get a reduction

Hotel needs a good clean and attention to health and safety issues. Worst hotel ever visited in over 50 years. Doubt if a One Star rating would be justified let alone the three stars listed.

This hotel needs some work doing to it - toilets don't flush, water pressure is rubbish, meals are served still frozen, breakfast tables not enough of them, broken headboards on bed - need I say any more - think twice before you go to this hotel
