Worst hotel ever
It was my recent misfortune to stay in this building which I can't honestly describe as a hotel. Downmarket is putting it politely. It is a shambolic ruin with rude and offensive staff incapable of producing anything resembling service. Move aside Basil and Sybil - the couple here can out-do you without even trying!
I didn’t stay in the hotel but my family and I go there for dinner most Fridays and I love it, it taste good and is always hot and the waiters are so polite keep it up.

Appaling customer service
Although the room was comfortable with clean sheets, the room was dusty and very tired. Decor is prehistoric. Met the manager/owner (?) - the rudest man I have ever met who clearly doesn't think the customer comes first!

Better than expected
After reading the review of 2 out of 10, I was a litttle bit apprehensive about staying at The White Hart. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Our room was both clean and comfortable. Although we are both in our fifties, we weren't bothered by the bar clientele. You expect things to be bit boisterous on a Saturday night. The previuos reviwer needs to lighten up a bit.
Our Sunday morning breakfast was freshly cooked and was excellent.

Awful
Like stepping back in time. Rooms were dated and not particularly clean. Bars full of drunken locals. Not a comfortable place to stay. On the upside, food was ok.
