The location was within walking distance of the park & ride bus into Ipswich - also close to a Tesco Extra store. Whilst I had no problem with the half mile or so to the buses etc other members of our party who were older and less mobile would not have been able to walk that distance, so an option only for more able travellers.
An interesting touch was that part of the old timbers of a farmhouse that had once stood on the site of the Holiday Inn had been incorporated into the loung/bar area of the building. An unusual feature in modern and pleasant hotel.
