This is the fifth or sixth time we've stayed at the Marton Arms Hotel over the years. Since Sue stevenson took it over in 2008 it has just got better end better. I found everything to be excellent except for just one little thing on the food side. I ordered Lasagne which on the menu said it was accompanied with salad and garlic bread, it came with a good portion of salad but unfortunately it only came with one piece of garlic bread which was very, very disappointing. other than this little hiccup the landlady and her staff made us very welcolme and our stay very enjoyable. So much so that we have already booked for a week in July 2011.

I enjoy walking and enjoy staying in quality places to make up for the harsh conditions out and about. The Marton arms seemed to fit the bill. The atmosphere was friendly and the Inn and surroundings fantastic. The rooms look very good and are very clean. All well so far.
I settled down my first evening for a drink and meal with my friends. The speciality ales we went for were again excellent.
However our food when it finally came was awful. It looked and tasted bad and none of us enjoyed our food.
The next day was unfortunately the same experience. So when checking out the next morning I accidentaly went into the kitchen which was shocking. I'm not a chef, but even I know that is wrong. Very dirty and greasy.

Ingleton Waterfall Walk This is a great morning out - 4 mile walk through the hills.

Wet weather wear The weather was quite changeable with a lot of rain so please remember to take water proof clothing, especially if doing the water fall walk. If you do forget anything then there is a shop in Ingelton, which sell everthing from walking boots to rainproof leggings etc.
