Very friendly, comfortable hotel
Very friendly atmosphere and comfortable room, we felt that nothing would have been too much trouble to make our stay enjoyable. Hotel is on the outskirts of Ilfracombe but it is an easy walk to the centre and a very good base if, like us, you wish to enjoy many varied walks in the area. Great breakfasts certainly set us up for the day-would definitely stay here again. You will be assured of a very warm welcome.

Lovely family hotel
I stayed here for a few days with my daughters and we had a lovely time. The rooms were spacious and clean and the breakfasts were delicious! Very helpful owner couldn't have done enough for us. Highly recommended.

Obliging and helpful, lovely week.
Met all our expectations and more. My family and I had a family room, we all had a great week with a clean room to come back to every evening. I was happy with the price, and nothing was too much for the hotel to do for us. We all had a good breakfast every day to set us up. I would have no hesitation in returning here the next time I was around Ilfracombe.

Watch out for random room changes
I travelled to Ilfracombe recently for a short break with family and a friend, his wife and two children. There was total confusion with the bookings and while we ended up in a spacious room, our friends spent their time in a box attic rom which could have barely accomodated a double bed. They left for home two nights into our stay and in a nutshell I would avoid this place like the plague!

Value For Money And Service
The rooms were spacious enough for our family of four and well equipped with an en suite bathroom with a bath (not easy to find on this road where most of the accomodation had showers.) The beds were comfortable and the linen clean. The decor was good and the drinks tray always kept topped up. The breakfast included fresh fruit and the cooking was good. The proprietor was extremely helpful and sought to meet our preferences. The price per night was most competitive in this location and off road parking was fine even for our large MPV.
