Friendly Hotel, warm reception and food pretty good. Large screen to watch sports was a bonus!

This was a well priced, independently run hotel near to the village of Fencehouses.
From the corridor I was expecting the room to be tiny and was therefore pleasantly surprised to find that it featured a double bed, ensuite shower and WC, and seperate area for storage. There was a large amount of storage, ideal for those staying longer.
The shower was a 'power-shower' type, with adjustable height rail. The shower cubicle was a little on the small side.
We'd been to a wedding celebration elsewhere and arrived back in at gone midnight to find that the disco at the hotel was still going, but this stopped very shortly thereafter. We could hear it from our room, but we were the closest room to the function area and I imagine rooms further away would not notice the noise.
Location absolutely gorgeous, on the edge of wild countryside and with ample (free) parking. Booking process very simple and efficient, staff both on the phone and in person were polite and cheerful.
Breakfast was included in the price and cereal, some fruit and full english was available. Excellent quality, freshly cooked and extremely efficient service in the breakfast area.
There is little in the way of other facilities, hence the 8 out of 10. As a place to stay for a few nights this was great though. Recommended.
