We spent New Year's Eve at the hotel, staying overnight and we were very impressed with the food, the staff, and the spotless way the hotel was kept. The hotel looked like it had been recently decorated. We travel quite often and staying in a clean hotel and a good bed is very important. We had a lovely choice at breakfast and the service was excellent. We will return and I would highly recommend the hotel.

Super, friendly, family-run hotel

Most southerly hotel in mainland Britain. Grounds slope down to cliff-edge of The Lizard. Breath-taking views. Spotlessly clean hotel. Rooms very well appointed & newly decorated. Food superb - can choose from bar menu (steaks, fish, shellfish, etc.) or from retaurant gourmet type items at same charge. Breakfasts: extensive buffet, juices, cereals etc. plus "full English" option/kippers/haddock/ham and so on. Do opt for a room facing the sea, if the cash allows. The view is spectacular. "A" class rooms (there are also B & C ones) have super-king beds, en suite bathrooms, flat TV's &, best of all, bay windows with arm chairs from which to enjoy your private view of this magical place. Not a bucket & spade shoreline, wild and rugged with the lighthouse up on the headland nearby. Coastal path round The Lizard runs along cliff edge just beyond hotel grounds. Staff friendly & helpful. Wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. Can't recommend the HBH too highly.
