We have justreturned from our break to The Midland Hotel and what a brilliant stay it was.The staff were brilliant and so helpfull and ent over backwards to help us as we had a young baby aswell as a disabled person in our party. The prices were extremely reasonable considering you get a fab brekkie in the morning aswell, there is entertainment on a couple of times a week which always seemed rather popular. I cant wait to go back again next year.
great service and staff.

i went to this hotel and stayed for eight days. it was very friendly and comfortable and the staff were great. it was very clean and well kept. but could have more variety in their menu's and a better menu for vegetarians not just salads. i would go back to this hotel again its nice and handy for the beach and the shops.
Poor service

I stayed in the hotel on a bed and breakfast basis. there was no breakfast available and was unable to raise any staff a various times of the day. very poor service. The rooms were clean but required some attention and the shower was next to poor also
Brilliant Time

We have just got back from a National Holliday 3 day stay at The Midland. The staff, food and entertainment wre very good. Our room was very clean and comfy, we even had a Christmas tree in our room.
The purpose of this trip was to see the Christmas Spectacular at Thursford.
Thanks to Paul, especially the Christmas Dimmer.

Just got back and pleasantly surprised considering some of the reviews I had seen before I went. Good location, clean, nice staff, nice food (quite plain), recently decorated - but still lots to do - but...the worst bed ever ... zig zag springs clearly visible and easily felt, army blankets...Overall better than expected but lots of room for improvement.
not bad

Just got back after a 5 day National Hols stay at the Midland Hotel.
Food very good, Staff also very good, Bedroom (No9) very clean and tidy, would i go back?, i certainly would.Entertainment was also good, both of us not keen on Country and Western which was on the Thursday night, but he was good at what he did, it was just that it is not our type of music.rest of the nights suited us fine.
