Jill, Tony and their staff (and Tony's daughter) gives you the feel of being pampered in the most friendly way. Beautiful hotel and surroundings, and Jill's food should play for England!

Tony and Jill are the perfect hosts,
The rooms are very comfortable,and the food is of the highest quality, freshly prepared, and well presented. Full marks to all at Heatherdene.

We have just had a wonderful three day break with hosts who were considerate, friendly and who went out of their way to make our stay memorable and home from home. The food and ambience is fantastic and Jill and Tony are just lovely. Rooms throughout the hotel are excellent and the views from the bedroom we occupied and from the lounge are fabulous. We will definitely return and would highly recommend this hotel.

Top Local Tips for Goathland

Trains Take the steam train to Pickering or Whitby. Look online for the specials - Sunday Lunches or Murder Mysteries for a really good experience but book these well in advance - they sell out a long time ahead.
