Great start and end to the Holiday

from HarryDylan
Flying from Gatwick, was made comfortable and easy. We stayed here the night before and left our car here while away. The courier service to and from the airport was first class. It was good value for the money and we were well satisfied.

Ifield Court Hotel, your holiday starts here.

from CazSuffolk
I always feel like my holiday starts when I stay at the Ifield Court Hotel prior to flying on holiday the following day. I have stayed and parked at a number of hotels in the Gatwick area but none that I feel more comfortable and welcomed at.
The rooms are clean and comfortable, with all ammenities and the staff will go out of their way to ensure you have the right room to suit your needs.
The restaurant is first class and the dinner menu and food excellent. Drinks on the terrace overlooking the gardens and countryside is very relaxing when weather permits. Likewise the lounge areas very cosy when the weather is inclement.
Breakfast is amazing, a real feast and sets you up for your trip.
Everything is well organised and the transfers to and from the airport run smoothly.
I always feel secure about leaving my car. You drop your car off at the main entrance and it is ready for you on your return. No long walks to park it yourself.
I cannot recommend this hotel enough, I have recommended it to friends and work colleagues and they in turn have recommended it too.

I stayed in the hotel with my family, we stayed both before our flight and afterwards. Me and my friend were convinced we were in the servants quaters of the house, and my friends back was hurting after sleeping in the bed. breakfast wasen't impressive, and your evening meal is not included in the price yet they ask when you would like to eat. also if you come down later than 9 in the morning the chefs are known to leave. expensive resturant, and you are not told about the resturants down the road such as nandos, pizza hut, frankie and bennies which i would recomend more.

on our return trip we had an evening flight, on our return the resturant was closed and we were unable to get our car in order to go get food. this is very disapointing as i was very hungry. was not impressed by the fact they didn't offer anywhere for us to get food, or offer food. found a yellow pages but as no one was at recpetion and they had locked up after us we couldn't order any food.
people not that friendly and waited a while to be picked up from the airport, also the rooms smelt of old.

Never going back

I have stayed in this hotel for the last two years as myself and my family have always loved the warm welcome and service. This year it was terrible I dont dont know where to start! When we arrived we felt like we were in the way, the lady on reception was less than helpful to sy the least and rude. We wasnt told about the change to the breakfast that used to be brought to the room but had now been moved to one of the lounge rooms, we were told we would have a wake up call which didnt happen (lucky we set our alarm clocks). when we arrived back from our holiday we returned to the hotel to collect our car which was left in gear with the hand brake off this seems to be the new thing they do, need I say more my partner started the car and proceeded to hit the vehicle in front this had also happened to a few other couples which were there to collect their cars. When we went in to the reception to see why this had happened we were greeted by the receptionist who just rolled her eyes!! We asked to see the manager who could not care less to say the least and in turn started to shout and tell us that the problems we had with hotel and the care of our vehicles was not his problem and then he explained he was tired and could not speak to us. This so called manager needs training in dealing with customers who actually spend money in his hotel which in turn keeps it going. I am disgusted that someone like this can actually be allowed to take over the hotel. The old manger was wonderful. We even had our minibus driver telling us that everyone who worked there were leaving and that most people who stayed there now were unhappy with the new owners, think this speaks for itself. Do Not Stay At This Hotel!!

under new managment

Well what can i say we have stayed here on many ocassions and have allways enjoyed a warm welcome and comfortable ride to the airport and back without a long wait then when we can to stay this time all had changed and not for the better fist at the reception we were greeted by a less than happy person who seemed to be upset at having to do some work then just gave us the room keys at said where it was then we went for our normal evening meal to find the menu changed not a problem but ignored by waitress so she could talk to someone she knew finally ordered and got meal and very dissapointed the quality has gone down hill on the food aswell went to bed didnt get our wake up call as promised good job we set our own clock as it was an early start went for breakfast met by a man who needs a customer care lesson then to airport not to bad a week later on arrival at gatwick as normal rang for a pick up and had to wait half an hour to get it then got thrown around in the back of the bus driver must have been in a hurry spock to other guest as we got dropped off only to find they wrer not impressed either and would not be using this hotel ever again as i said i have stayed here at least ten times before with no complaint but after this time i would rather drive and pay for a car park than be subject to this sort or treatment from a hotel

this hotel has gone downhill

from suffolkwomble
if flying from gatwick there are better hotels around. This one needs updating to bring it into the eighties let alone 2008.Staff seemed a bit off especially on reception and had a couldn't care less attitude.I would not use this hotel again.

Excellent service

from xpc1479
My wife & I have used this hotel on many occasions when flying from Gatwick. Whilst it has always been good value for money, it became apparent to us on our last stay that there had been a change in management. This was immediately obvious because of the pleasant greeting we had on our arrival, & the general atmosphere within the premises. All staff were friendly & accommodating. I would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel.

Loved the position

from juney19
We loved the position of the Hotel, excellent for Gatwick, parking a breeeze. Staff were friendly and helpful, but decor in the bedrooms needed updating.
The only downside for us was lack of Coffee and Tea making facilities in the bedrooms, I thought this was comon practice now. Even in small Guest Houses there are always these facilities.

Would stay again

from MLavis
The hotel was easy to find, we received a warm welcome from the friendly staff. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay, would book again!

Perfect for Gatwick.

If you are flying from Gatwick, stay here the night before.
It is a great family owned Hotel, that puts you in the holiday spirit before you fly. You leave your car here while you are way and they take you to the airport and pick you up again. All this including free parking for no charge, they will even get your car cleaned or stock up your car with groceries for your return if you wish, Awesome!

The Hotel itself is decorated as somebody's house and I would recommend a drink in the bar before or after Dinner, or both, as most people are on their holidays.

Food is simple fresh and delicious, breakfast is a must.

I have stayed here several times, Highly recommended"!
