| Tired and Sad Hotel! |

Was very disappointed with our stay. Both rooms were in poor shape. Drawer front fell off onto my daughter's foot (had clearly been stuck on before) - curtain pelmet hanging off - could hardly close curtains as hanging off - missing net curtain. Second room, ripped net curtain - stain on bed cover - dirty cups and saucers for tea - both shower rooms in need or refurb - extractor fans filthy.
Most staff friendly, however owner was rud. My husband stood waiting for his key whilst owner kept on talking on phone and totally ignored him. Always looked out from his office at the back of reception but never once acknowledged us.
Had to make coffee in room in evening as no longer able to obtain from porter. breakfast ok, but could be greasy with taste of well used oil.
We have been visitors for a number of years but unless there are changes, we will not be going back! Seems it is gradually being run into the ground since ownership changed - very sad. |

An excellent stay for 5 days at the height of the holiday season and my wife and I were delighted to meet many guests who were on return visits this year.The hotel gives excellent value with very attentive staff:- the food is quite ouitstanding for a 2 star hotel and my wife and I will have no hesitation in recommending it to all our friends. |
