My friend and I were in the Lynton Area to visit the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway and had deciced to camp. Having spent an hour in a force 7 gale and driving rain trying to put up a very uncooperative tent, we decided to book into a hotel! Thank Heaven we found the North Cliff. Arriving like 2 drowned rats, we were greeted with warmth and humour. Our room was immaculate, well-appointed, and had the most fantastic view of Lynmouth Bay. The owners and staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant during our 4 day stay and the breakfasts were terrific. I'll be back.

This is an absolute gem of a hotel.The rooms are neat and spotless, the food is sumptuous! and everyone connected with running the hotel are really nice.i had the best holiday ever there,a quit relaxing week. The kind of seaside holiday you dream of.The only snag is that it is situated on the side of the gorge and the walk back up from Lynmouth can be exhausting,but the cliff railway starts practically outside the hotel`s back door, so you can always ride down and up! We`ll be going back, Devon really is a beautiful place.

North Walk While you are in Lynton, it is definately worthwhile going for a 50min walk along the cliff face & viewing the sea & mountain goats. Very refreshing!

Walks Definitely explore what the area has to offer. You don't need a car - we were stunned at the beauty of the walks.

Stunning views - friendly - great place to walk It's a must for all walkers - Kelvin and Liz include great route finders and maps in the package.
