Stinky vile dump, like stepping into a horror movie. Hearded into hot smelly hole at meal times for appalling food. Service delivered by collection of half wits, not interested in the guests.

I stayed at the Wildersmouth in July. I found the staff fairly nice, as for the Hotel it really is budget accommodation. If you are precise about hygiene and cleanliness you might want to pack some socks. Our room was fairly ok. Old brown wardrobes and a set of drawers, the bed nearly killed me as it was solid, i would have slept on the floor but the carpet looked like it could have done with a good scrub and hoover. It is situated up a big hill so people with walking dissabilities will find this quite difficult. Overall a poor Hotel and would definitely not return or stay at any of the Devonia's other Hotels.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the so called Cosy Wildersmouth Hotel! All I can say is DON'T stay there. It's absolutely grotty and deserted. The Arlington across the road has staff but you have to check in to a half decent hotel before going across the road to the vial pink Wildersmouth. The first room we were given was room 14, Ouch! The dust that was hanging off the lampshades and I spotted a fair amount of bugs on the bed, we were moved to room 16 which was slightly better. This hotel is very dated, needs all the windows opening as it smells musty and old and get rid of that tacky pink paint. All in all Ilfracombe is a lovely place just ruined by this poor state of a hotel.

We stayed at the Wildersmouth in June for a weekend; we found the hotel not only very reasonable for the price we paid, but also in a great position for the town and seafront. It is a shame it is only room only hotel and I feel they would benefit from serving food.

Apart from the ceiling falling in on me and my friend in the night it was a great weekend. The staff and the food was lovely, the entertainment was great, we were on a working break, we had taken a couple of adults with learning difficulties with us and they had a great time.

It is a very friendly place. The food there was excellent. the waitresses were lovely and all the other hotel staff were too. It is well situated and has great views from the holders and burts. PS: Ann the receptionist was lovely and in october we're staying at Devonias, other hotel the granville.
