Not heating working!! And overheard staff saying fire alarm not working as well! Authorities need to be called so this place is shut down!

Don't ever stay here

Reserved through Lateroooms but hotel had no record of booking. Credit card charged on check in. Heating not working in room, assured someone would be up to check it. No sign of anyone coming. Back to reception now besieged by angry customers demanding refunds - you guessed it, heating not working. Manager very conveniently unavailable, night manager claims he's not authorised to refund money. Eventually got signed
bill saying refund due to heating fault - still waiting for money. Left hotel in disgust and went home. The manager is a crook and staff no better..

Nothing working and only one member of staff

Computer was down when I arrived so there was no record of my booking, computer was still down next morning so no copy of bill- I've asked for a copy on 3 occasions but nothing despite promises. Manager never seems to be there! I stayed in 'Exec Room', no air-con, no fan and only one light bulb worked.

Some valuable items were stolen from our room at this hotel. Hotel manager was terrible! Did not offer to call police or even to change our room. He was not there to speak to us after promising that he would be and will not take our phone calls. He was rude and the worst hotel manager I have ever met. It is now three months later and we are still waiting to hear from his insurance company. Would not recommend this hotel at all!

I went to Coventry to visit friends and family and this hotel is in a fantastic location. Next door to the Train Station and a 5/10 minute walk to the city centre. I don't generally like staying at hotels but when i stayed at the Hylands Hotel in Coventry i felt so comfortable. Reception staff on check in and check out was so helpful, kind and friendly in fact all the staff at the hotel was. The Hotel was clean and tidy. The room i was in was so homely. One of the evenings I ate in the 'The Dining Room' and the food was out of this world. The Chefs are amazing. This hotel needs praising. I definately recommend it to anyone!!
